Japan travel sponsorships
Japan Travel Sponsorships Guide: Part 1—10 Sites
A list I’m saving for my own future trips
Fellow travel bloggers, I hope you find it useful, too!
Hi there!
I’m a world travel blogger, Traveling Gomyammi.Welcome to my blog!
This time, I’m putting together a list to bookmark for myself:
websites for sponsored trips to Japan. Here are the platforms worth knowing about.
If you’re like me, you’ve probably wondered, “Could I find a sponsor or a brand collaboration for my next overseas trip?”
There are actually quite a few opportunities, but the information is scattered everywhere,
so plenty of bloggers don’t even know they exist.
That’s why I’m starting with Japan travel sponsorships.
I hope this gives you a useful starting point!
And if you’re a business owner or marketer currently recruiting bloggers,
email me or leave a comment, and I’ll update the list.

Hotel stays, collaboration proposals, and familiarization trips—also known as fam tours—are all welcome.

REVU |
|||

REVU also has
a small selection of Japan campaigns, including ferry tickets to Tsushima and opportunities in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo,
as well as Okinawa, Japan.You’ll usually see one or two listings pop up at a time.
The selection isn’t huge yet, but if the dates line up with your trip,
it’s worth putting in an application.
Competition is surprisingly light.
I’d love to see more overseas businesses join REVU!

SAELOUN |
|||
SAELOUNworks a little differently from the other platforms.
Its network of sponsored experiences in Japan is surprisingly extensive,
with separate regional groups for Okinawa, Tokyo, Sapporo—with fewer listings—Osaka, and Fukuoka.
The offers are also worth more than you might expect, making them pretty rewarding.
You can find experiences at upscale yakiniku restaurants serving Japanese grilled meat, or even omakase chef’s-choice meals.
If your Japan itinerary includes a major city,
you could have much of your dining budget covered.
Reservations open one month ahead, and the penalties for not following the rules are fairly strict,
so make sure you follow the requirements carefully.
First, your blog has to pass a one-on-one screening through KakaoTalk.
The minimum requirements are 100 daily visitors and 100,000 total visitors.With those thresholds in place,
brand-new bloggers may find it difficult to qualify.
You access the program through KakaoTalk.
If you’d like the link, leave me a private comment.

Yeogi Eottae Affiliate Program |
|||

Yeogi Eottae Partners
also offers sponsored hotel stays in Japan.
First, though, you have to qualify for the partner program.
Your blog needs at least 1,500 daily visitors,
and the hotels select participants themselves, so the process is fairly demanding.
Still, I spotted quite a few opportunities in Osaka, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Sapporo,
among other destinations in Japan.
It looks useful if you’re hoping to land a sponsored hotel stay.
|
Trevity |
|||

Next up is Trevity,another platform to check out.
It does have Japan listings, although the selection seems more focused on Vietnam.
If you’re looking for sponsored experiences in Nha Trang, Hanoi, or Da Nang, Vietnam,
it’s worth a browse.
At the time of writing, there’s one hotel listing in Osaka, Japan.
|
SURF |
|||

The next platform is SURF, another option for Japan collaborations.
First, you need to apply to become a “Travelogger,”the platform’s creator program.
That means creating an account and submitting an application,
followed by a review process with several checks.
Screening usually takes two to three days, but it can take a week or longer.
Opportunities are available in Fukuoka, Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, Japan,
with Fukuoka offering the largest selection.
One important detail: as a Travelogger,
you’ll need to submit your photos for use in the restaurant’s photo gallery.
Make sure you’re comfortable with that before applying.

Connectravel |
|||

One thing I like here is that you can post your upcoming travel plans in advance,
and advertisers may contact you directly.
There are quite a few appealing bus tour experiences,
so I’m planning to apply for one myself.
I also spotted luggage sponsorships for both bloggers and NAVER Clip creators.
Give it a try if something catches your eye!

Explera |
|||

Explera has a creator program for Japan.
It reportedly offers plenty of sponsored hotel stays and travel experiences around Japan.
This isn’t a Korean website.
As with some of the other platforms, registration, screening, and approval are fairly involved.
You have to fill in everything individually, including your passport details and other personal information.
Here’s how I submitted mine.

For the final message, I wrote something along these lines:
“I’d love to build a long-term partnership with your company.”
Essentially, it was a polite introduction and request:
I would value the opportunity to work with your company and build a relationship based on trust.
I hope to nurture a positive, long-term partnership.
Going forward, I plan to visit different parts of Japan approximately once every three months, including popular destinations such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
I also intend to explore regional cities and appealing places that are less familiar to Korean travelers.
Through thoughtfully written stories and carefully composed photos of beautiful scenery, local culture, and distinctive experiences,
I hope to introduce these destinations to travelers from South Korea in an engaging way.
Rather than limiting our collaboration to a one-time promotion, I would like to share information consistently over time.
I would be delighted if this could help raise awareness of your company and attract more Korean visitors.
I sincerely look forward to the possibility of a wonderful partnership.

There are something like seven steps, so yes, the application takes quite a while.
Still, having an account ready should make things easier later.

I also highlighted that I run a WordPress site published in six languages,
alongside my blog, with readers around the world.
That’s another selling point worth mentioning.
If a single collaboration gets coverage in six languages, with content appearing across Google, NAVER, Daum, and Bing,
that sounds like pretty good value for a marketing company, doesn’t it?
And when I genuinely love an experience, I’ll make Reels and NAVER Clips, too,
plus share it on Threads.
If traffic drops after a while, I revisit the search results and update the content,
then publish fresh coverage when the timing makes sense.
This isn’t a one-click AI job—I type and work through everything myself.
I edit my photos, too, and plan to shoot with my Canon EOS R10 digital camera when appropriate.
Anyway, once my application is approved, I’ll write a review of the platform.

These are the requirements for its membership tiers.
Since reaching more than 150,000 followers on a NAVER Blog is difficult,
I suspect most bloggers will fall into the Spotlight tier.

PEPPER LIKES |
|||

This is another platform connecting influencers with sponsored experiences in Japan.
Think of it as Japan’s answer to REVU.
You’ll need to upload a portfolio and write a fairly detailed introduction,
so set aside some time for the application.

PEPPER LIKES accepts Instagram creators,
as well as bloggers.
|
Red Boost |
|||

Once you’ve been travel blogging for a while,
collaboration proposals and fam tour invitations sometimes arrive by email, too.
Red Boost is one of the companies that reaches out that way.
Helpfully, its emails arrive in Korean.
They contacted me, and most of the offers seemed to be for Fukuoka, Japan.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a Fukuoka trip planned at the time, so I declined.
Finding fam tours takes more legwork than you might expect.
Sesigan Jeon, NAVER Yeohaeng Connect, Tacat, and individual influencers
frequently organize them.
|
Sabeullang Cafe |
|||

In Sabeullang Cafe’s overseas experience campaign section,
new opportunities pop up from time to time.
You’ll often see fam tour recruitment posts and sponsored experiences in Nha Trang,
as well as Da Nang, Vietnam.
There are also plenty of NAVER Cafe communities,
including Yeoyuteo, Mohaep, and Kolkok, so I recommend making use of those, too.
The website Masil also frequently posts fam tour recruitment notices.
There are plenty more places to find Japan travel sponsorships, but this post is getting long.
I’ll wrap things up here and come back with Part 2!
