Hi, everyone!
It’s Traveling Gomyammi, your around-the-world travel blogger.

I found such a beautiful place to stay,
and my whole family loved it.
Let me show you our Florence Airbnb in Italy.

I deliberately left these photos completely unedited—
no filters or touch-ups, just the apartment as it looked.

Of all the stops on our Italy itinerary,
the hardest place to find accommodation
was Florence. Nothing felt quite right,
so after searching and searching, I turned to Airbnb.

Why I Chose This Florence Airbnb

We were traveling to Florence as a family of four, and I wanted us to stay somewhere genuinely nice.
Accommodation is one of the most important parts of a trip for me, especially when I’m traveling with my parents.
As the eldest daughter planning this trip, I put a lot of time into finding the right place.
A safe neighborhood and an elevator were must-haves.
We also needed to be near the train station for our Tuscany tour the next day.
I’m not great with a T-bone steak that’s too rare,
so I wanted an Airbnb with a kitchen where we could cook it ourselves.
The view outside the windows was incredible.
There was a spacious living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a large bedroom, a roomy bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen.
It was also near Mercato Centrale, Florence’s central market,
so we could buy a T-bone steak there and cook it back at the apartment.
Florence’s Duomo and Ponte Vecchio were both less than a 20-minute walk away.
The Florence train station was just a five- to six-minute walk away—close enough to comfortably roll our suitcases over.

Our host was a wonderfully friendly woman, too!

When I posted about cooking a T-bone steak at our Airbnb,
so many people commented asking where we stayed that I decided to share it here.
I found this place after a lot of digging,
but there weren’t any reviews from Korean guests, so I was a little nervous before we arrived.
I needn’t have worried.

It turned out to be our favorite accommodation of the entire Italy trip!
Mom and Dad had found our places in Rome a little cramped,
but they loved how open and airy this apartment felt.

Floor-to-Ceiling Windows and Gorgeous Florence Views

My family liked the view here even more than the views around central Florence—

they barely wanted to leave!

The sky was beautiful, and I couldn’t get enough of the outlook.
The apartment was spotless, too.

The Kitchen and Dining Table
There was a sofa that doubled as a bed in the living room,
so we could stretch out and take in the view through those huge windows.

And here’s the detail that really touched me:
During our Airbnb chat, I mentioned that this was a trip to celebrate my dad’s retirement.
Our lovely host left us a bottle of wine!

We could step out onto the balcony, too,
and Dad spent practically the whole day out there.

It quickly became his favorite spot.

Here’s the layout: the kitchen opens onto the living room,
with that sofa bed in the same shared space.

The Bedroom View

This room was beautiful, too.

Let’s take a look around the bedroom.
It had a clean, white color scheme and another window with this lovely view.

Even a quick, casual snapshot made the room look this good.

There were plenty of drawers,
and the host had stocked them with just about anything we might need.
Chargers, plug adapters, thread, needles—you name it.
Even though we were staying just one night, each person had a large towel and a small towel,
neatly tucked into the drawers.

The bathroom was spacious and had a washing machine.

There was a sink in a dry area separate from the shower stall, plus a toilet, bidet, washing machine, and vacuum cleaner.
Open the drawers and you’d find deodorant, shaving cream, a hair dryer, and more.
It really had almost everything—but do bring your own toothbrush.
Body wash and hair conditioner were provided, too.
I’d recommend bringing a shower filter.

Along with the vacuum cleaner, there was a microwave and a gas stove,
plus a portable burner, frying pans, knives, and dishes.
We cooked a T-bone steak here and made tuna kimchi jjigae, a Korean stew with kimchi and tuna.

Our host had even left ice cream in the freezer,
so we got to try some Italian ice cream!

My advice? Skip the mint.
Go for the lemon and orange flavors instead.
The Italian mint ice cream we tried tasted just like toothpaste to me.

The Living Room Sofa Bed
It slept two, so Mom and I slept here.
There was an outlet right beside it,
and plenty of bedding stored in the closet.

This place helped make our Florence trip such a happy one.
Our Florence Airbnb was called The Clear House.
The Clear House!
You can book it through Airbnb.

Search for the name if you’d like to stay here.
At about $298, it certainly wasn’t a budget stay,
but for a family of four, I thought it was worth the splurge.

A few readers have told me
it doesn’t always show up when they search.

If that happens, leave a comment and I’ll share the link!
Have a wonderful trip to Florence!
